New opportunities have been gained in the fields of logistics, tourism, artificial intelligence, digital media, art, medicine, production practices and summer schools during the second meeting of Nakhchivan State University (NDU) in China.
Aztəhsil.az reports that important agreements have been signed to expand cooperation in education and applied fields during the official meeting held between NDU and Urumqi Vocational University (UVU) of the People's Republic of China.
The Chinese side was represented at the meeting by the President of UVU, the Vice-President of the university, the Director of the Office of International Relations, the Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence Engineering, as well as the Deputy Secretary of the General Party Branch of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and the Dean of the Faculty of New Energy and New Materials.
During the discussions, the development of joint educational programs in logistics, tourism, artificial intelligence, digital media, art, and medicine was a special focus as priority areas of cooperation. In addition, a broad exchange of views was held on the organization of Chinese language teaching at the bachelor's level, the development of specializations in accordance with the requirements of the modern labor market, and the application of a practice-oriented education model.
Within the framework of the meeting, concrete cooperation opportunities were reviewed in the direction of student and teacher mobility, expansion of academic exchange programs, as well as joint organization of production practices. In particular, preliminary agreements were reached on the development of dual degree programs based on the 3+1 model at the bachelor's level and the organization of joint courses in a hybrid (online and traditional) format.
At Urumqi Vocational University, university-industry relations are highly developed, and a practice-oriented cooperation model is successfully applied. Thus, cooperation opportunities will also be created between NDU and leading Chinese companies that are partners of UVU.
It should be noted that working groups have been created by both sides to ensure more effective development of cooperation. These groups will be led by the rectors of both Nakhchivan State University and Urumqi Vocational University.
NDU students will be able to fully utilize the very extensive material-technical and practical opportunities of UVU, which provides vocational education.
