UNEC in Azerbaijan according to the SCImago 2026 ranking is FIRST.
SCImago ranking has announced its results for 2026.
Aztəhsil.az reports that SCImago Institutions Rankings is an international ranking and analytical system that measures the scientific activity (50%), innovation power (30%), and societal impact (20%) of universities, research institutes, and other scientific organizations.
A total of 10,827 institutions participated in the ranking, including 5,491 higher education institutions.
10 universities from Azerbaijan were included in this ranking. Azerbaijan, which first participated in SCImago in 2009 with only 2 institutions, is now represented by 13 institutions in 2026.
UNEC is first in Azerbaijan according to the SCImago 2026 ranking.
UNEC, which improved its position in 6 scientific fields overall, is a leader in Azerbaijan in the fields of “Economics, Econometrics and Finance”, “Business, Management and Accounting”, “Social Sciences”, “Energy”, “Computer Sciences”, “Engineering”, as well as “Arts and Humanities”.
