The journalist's son became a famous FIRST Azerbaijani at a US university doctoral student

Abutalıb Namazov, son of renowned journalist Shahvalad Chobanoglu, is pursuing doctoral studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the USA, which is among the world's most famous universities.

He stated that although Abutalıb was offered a high-paying job in the USA, his brother chose to continue his education:

“When I think about the salary mentioned in his last job offer, I get a bit lost in thought. We would have thrown off the burden of poverty. That day I had also liked a good car, we would have bought it... 

But my brother chose science. He is currently a doctoral student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The university has also covered all his expenses. When I go to the university's website and see his name and picture among the faculty and research staff, my wings open, and I feel like I'm turning into a flying machine.
Doctoral studies at MIT are considered one of the most difficult to get into and most prestigious academic programs in the world. This is not just about obtaining a scientific degree, but also about developing in one of the world's most powerful scientific centers.
Believe me, my pride in him is not primarily because he is the first Azerbaijani doctoral student at MIT. I don't hide it, I am very happy about that too. But his being a simple, pure, and righteous person is more important to me”, - Mete Namazov noted.

He also spoke about his sisters. 

He stated that his elder sister, Sakina Namazova, who graduated from Baku Anatolian High School in Azerbaijan, is currently a doctor at Hacettepe University Hospital in Turkey.

Mete emphasized that his younger sister Nargiz is also studying medicine and said that he is proud of them.
