In educational institutions operating under the Baku City Education Department, in-class events dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide were held.
The events began with a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan's independence and the victims of Khojaly.
During the events, information about the Khojaly genocide was provided to the growing generation, and it was stated that the Khojaly tragedy holds one of the main places in Azerbaijan's socio-political thought history, and its recognition worldwide is constantly in the focus of our state's attention. It was brought to the attention of the students that with the full restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and our country's sovereignty, the blood of all our martyrs, including the Khojaly victims, did not go unavenged, Khojaly residents have already returned to their homes, and reconstruction work in Karabakh is rapidly continuing.
It was also emphasized that the memory of the Khojaly victims should always be honored and that the rising generations should contribute to the international recognition of this event.
It should be noted that the teaching and student staff of the educational institutions also visited the “Mother's Cry” monument erected in memory of the Khojaly martyrs.
