On March 5, the award ceremony of the XV Republican Project Competition “Scientists of Tomorrow” was held at Baku Higher Oil School.

Aztəhsil.az reports that the event began with the playing of the National Anthem. Subsequently, a video prepared within the framework of the competition was demonstrated.

  • Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Science and Education Firudin Gurbanov noted that such competitions help identify talented children and develop their innovative abilities, and emphasized that every young person should contribute to the country's progress. 
  • Speaking, Deputy Minister of Science and Education Kenan Karimzade advised young people to value the opportunities created for them in a timely manner and to make effective use of the resources provided. 
  • In his speech, Elmar Gasimov, Rector of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS), emphasizing that the “Scientists of Tomorrow” competition is one of the most prestigious competitions in the country, highly appreciated the holding of the competition at the educational institution he leads and congratulated the winners. 

During the continuation of the event, medals and certificates were presented to the winners.
Participants won a total of 107 medals, including 16 gold, 35 silver, and 56 bronze medals. 6 "Special Awards" established by the jury were also presented to their owners. 

The most successful projects covered the fields of ecology, physics, mathematics, chemistry, robotics, and health.

It should be noted that the "Scientists of Tomorrow" competition was held with the organization and partnership of the Ministry of Science and Education, the Heydar Aliyev Center, the Institute of Education, and the Republican Committee of the Trade Union of Science and Education Workers.

The main goal of the competition is to encourage students studying in grades IX-XI of general education institutions operating in our country to engage in scientific research, and within the framework of stimulating their scientific and creative activities, to identify talented students with an inclination for scientific research in 9 areas (mathematics, physics and astronomy, chemistry, biology, medicine and health, ecology and environmental management, engineering, computer science, robotics, and artificial intelligence).
