Yesterday, over 58 thousand applicants participated in the graduation exam. However, immediately after the exam, applicants and parents massively expressed their objections regarding the difficulty and time-consuming nature of the questions. It is claimed that the questions presented in mathematics, in particular, put the applicants in a difficult situation.

Aztəhsil.az reports that the State Examination Center has issued a statement regarding the voiced objections.

"When determining the content of graduation and admission exams, a very clear methodological framework is referenced. This framework includes educational programs, textbooks, and graduation exam programs prepared based on these materials, which are in force in the country. Exam questions are also prepared specifically taking these documents into account.

Regarding the complexity level of the tasks, it was noted that easy, medium, and difficult questions are used in each exam to differentiate participants with various levels of preparation. It was stated that the exam should serve to determine the knowledge level not only of poorly and moderately prepared participants but also of well-prepared participants.

The Center also emphasized that whether an exam is easy or difficult is a relative matter, and this can vary depending on the participant's level of preparation: "Any task might be difficult for some participants and easy for others. Traditional analyses, however, show that opinions expressed regarding the difficulty of test tasks are sometimes not consistent with the truth."

It was reported by the SEC that exam results have not yet been announced, and therefore, it is not possible to conduct a concrete assessment: "The complexity level of the exam is not determined based on what is written on social networks. After the results are announced, the necessary indicators will be presented to the public.

The State Examination Center posts all tasks and their explanations on its website and social media accounts immediately after the exams. Participants in the exam, as well as parents, teachers, and experts, can familiarize themselves with all test tasks. Question booklets are also provided to exam participants. All of this is a clear indicator of how open the content of the exam is to the public," the statement noted.

It was stated that the next graduation exam, to be held on March 15, will also be organized at the same level.
