“Great attention and care are shown to the education sector at the state level in Azerbaijan”.
Aztəhsil.az reports that these remarks were made by Ceyhun Məmmədov, a Member of Parliament, during his speech at an event titled “Distinguish Yourself with Your Education: Global Experience, National Value.”
The MP stated that in recent years, based on the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, new higher education institutions are being established, the infrastructure of existing universities is being renewed, and international cooperation is expanding.
He noted that a number of international projects in higher education are being implemented in the country. Among them, the establishment of educational institutions such as ADA University, Azerbaijan-French University (UFAZ), and Azerbaijan–Italy University plays an important role.
According to the MP, the opportunities created for young people to study abroad are a great chance provided by the state. He emphasized that such opportunities do not exist in every country in the world. The funds allocated by the state signify great trust and responsibility for young people.
“There is no country in the world that can develop without prioritizing education and knowledge. Today, developed countries are also distinguished by their strong universities,” the MP added.
C. Məmmədov stated that there is currently serious competition among universities on a global scale. According to him, universities in the USA, Great Britain, as well as China and Arab countries in recent years, are particularly striving to attract more students.
Addressing young people, the MP noted that studying abroad is a great opportunity, but at the same time, it requires great responsibility. According to him, students should be careful in choosing their specialization, utilize all opportunities in the countries where they study, and direct the knowledge and experience they gain towards the development of Azerbaijan.
He added that in the modern era, the development of artificial intelligence and new technologies is creating significant changes in the labor market, and for this reason, young people must constantly work on themselves and be ready for competition.
