A Sumgayit school student became the winner of the tournament

Ləman Niftəliyeva, a 10th-grade student of Sumgayit City Full Secondary General Education School No. 34 and daughter of Mehrab Niftaliyev, a martyr of the Patriotic War, achieved another success in judo.

Aztəhsil.az reports that in the second round of the “Talent Selection” competition held among U-17 adolescents on March 8, Ləman Niftəliyeva, participating in the girls' -44 kg weight category, surpassed all her opponents and was awarded 1st place. Ləman Niftəliyeva is a trainee of Sumgayit City Children and Youth Sports School No. 2 (UGİŞM).

It should be noted that the purpose of holding the “Talent Selection” tournament is to identify promising athletes for the national team and to form a healthy sports base. 

In the final ranking of the tournament's two rounds, athletes who ranked in the top 4 in each weight category will be involved in the “Hopes of the Future” training program.
