A Volunteer Student Organization will host WUF13 Student Forum

The winners of the joint grant competitions held within the framework of cooperation between the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and BP Azerbaijan have been announced.

Aztəhsil.az reports that winning projects in various directions have been identified within the framework of the competition. According to the list, the top five places have been awarded to the following organizations and projects.

Thus, the project “WUF13 Student Forum” by the “Bir Könüllü” Public Union for Student Cooperation was awarded the first place, winning a grant of 26,500 manats. In second place was the project “Inclusive urban transport – velomobile” by the “For International Cooperation of Persons with Disabilities” Public Union (25,000 manats), and in third place was the project “Youth inclusive urban initiatives” by the “Rezonans” Public Union of Youth (14,500 manats).

The fourth place was taken by the project “Biodiversity through the eyes of children” by the “SOS Children's Villages – Azerbaijan” Association Public Union, and a grant of 25,000 manats was allocated to the project. In fifth place was the project “Mental health: personal development in a green environment” by the “Support for Psychological Development and Enlightenment” Public Union, and this project was supported with a grant of 17,000 manats.

It should be noted that WUF13 — is the 13th World Urban Forum organized by the UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat). The Forum is considered a global discussion platform for sustainable urban development, urbanization, and the creation of inclusive urban environments.
