In the Azerbaijan Weightlifting Championship, Nuray Abilova, a student of Samad Vurgun No. 2 Full Secondary General Education School in Gazakh city, achieved success.
Aztəhsil.az reports that Nuray Abilova achieved a total of 138 kg (60 kg + 78 kg) in two lifts in the 53 kg weight category, earning her first place and a gold medal, thus becoming the Azerbaijan champion.
It should be noted that this is not Nuray Abilova's first success. She was awarded a bronze medal at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games held in 2025 in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
