Exam on professional recognition held
An exam for the recognition of professions for individuals with higher education obtained abroad in the fields of teaching, engineering, and law was held by the State Examination Center on March 17, 2026.
Aztəhsil.az reports that, in accordance with the "Rules for the Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications of Foreign States" approved by Decree No. 2306 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated August 18, 2023, applicants in the fields of teaching, engineering, and law are required to achieve success (score the passing grade) in the exam organized by the State Examination Center at the request of the Quality Assurance in Education Agency operating under the Ministry of Science and Education. Applications to participate in the exam were accepted by the Agency.
The exam, organized in the electronic exam corpus of the SEC, started at 11:00 AM and lasted for 1 hour.
Out of 181 people registered to participate in the exam, 35 did not attend. 18 people achieved success in the exam. Candidates had the opportunity to review the results upon completion of the exam or when the time allocated for the exam expired. The results will also be posted on the SEC website.
It should be noted that participants in the exam were presented with 30 test questions. Each correct answer is evaluated with one point, while incorrect or unanswered questions are evaluated with zero points. Applicants are required to score 15 or more points to achieve success in the exam.
Those who wish to appeal to the Appeals Commission regarding the content of the exam must submit an application at the SEC (address: Baku city, Nasimi district, Academic Hasan Aliyev street, 299) on March 18 - 19, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A copy of the diploma supplement (transcript) for higher education must also be attached to the application.
