Several exams were held by the State Examination Center on April 19, 2026.
According to information provided by the Center to Aztəhsil.az, they are as follows:
1. Stage I of the admission exam for graduates of previous years, admission exam to higher education institutions for specialty group V and to colleges based on 11 years of education;
2. Additional foreign language exam for current year graduates who wish to participate in the competition in a language different from the foreign language they took in the graduation exam;
3. Additional language of instruction exam for current year graduates who wish to take the admission exam in a language different from the language they took in the graduation exam;
4. Graduation exam for XI grade students of the current year who could not participate in the graduation exams held in March due to valid reasons and for whom an appeal was made to the Center;
5. Graduation exam for individuals who wish to participate in the final attestation for XI grade in an external manner;
6. Graduation exam for XI grade graduates of previous years who could not participate in the graduation exams due to various reasons and for whom an appeal was made to the Center;
7. Graduation exam was held for XI grade students of the current year from schools located in Nakhchivan AR.
The exams were organized in Baku, Absheron, Sumgayit, Ganja, Shamkir, Sheki, Lankaran, Mingachevir, Shirvan, Gazakh, Barda, Sabirabad, Goychay, Kurdamir, Salyan, Jalilabad, Guba, Khachmaz, Khankendi and Nakhchivan AR.
37338 people were expected to participate in the exam.
90 applicants with limited health capabilities (visually impaired, cerebral palsy, hearing impaired, and others) will also participate in the exam. Special halls have been allocated in the exam buildings for these applicants to take the exam comfortably, and individual supervisors have been appointed for visually impaired persons with 81-100 percent impairment of p functions. Conditions have also been created for students with mobility limitations to enter and move within the building and hall.
162 general exam supervisors, 466 exam supervisors, 3577 invigilators, 477 admission regime employees, and 162 building representatives were assigned for the management of the exam.
According to preliminary information, 9 people were excluded from the exam for being found with mobile phones, and an investigation will be conducted.
Today at 15:30, a live broadcast will be made via the SEC's “Youtube” channel, and responsible employees of the Center and experts will provide explanations regarding the test tasks used in the exam, as well as present the correct answers to closed and codable open-ended tasks. Students can write their questions in the comment section of the live broadcast.
Starting from April 20, the processing of exam protocols and answer sheets will begin at the SEC. Since checking open-ended tasks requiring written answers used in the exams takes time, the results are expected to be announced after 6 weeks.
Participants in the exam, as well as parents, teachers, and experts, will be able to obtain the electronic version (in pdf format) of the explanations of all test tasks, as well as the standard answers, from the SEC's social media accounts after the live broadcast.
